5 Things You’ll Need for Your Graduation Vacay

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Millersville chapter.

This is it, collegiettes! You’ve worked your tail off for four (or more) years, you’ve walked across the stage in your academic regalia, and have celebrated your great achievement with your family and friends… Now it’s time to venture out into the world and explore as much as possible! If you’re planning on traveling before you settle into your new post-undergrad routine, here are some things you cannot leave without!

1. A good read

No matter if your method of travel is flying, taking a train, or kicking your feet up on the dashboard while your best friend drives, you’re going to need something to help you pass the time. We highly recommend the novel White Fur by Jardine Libaire! It’s a tale of star-crossed lovers set against the glitzy and gritty backdrop of 1980s New York City — and it’s sure to hold your attention from departure until arrival. Interested in snagging your own copy? Check out White Fur here!

2. A trusty toothbrush cover

Whether you’re traveling alone or with a group of your best gal pals, it’s always important to keep your toothbrush clean and free of bacteria. Steripods are the best way to achieve that feat, keeping your toothbrush clean and protected for up to 3 months. This means you’ll never have to worry about cross-contamination or how clean your toothbrush actually is ever again — no matter where in the world you end up!

3. The ultimate eyebrow pencil

Even while you’re traipsing around the globe, keeping your eyebrows tamed and in shape is a must! That’s why we recommend using essence cosmetics’ Eyebrow Designer. This little pencil is complete with a spooly to tame and a smooth pigment that matches your brows perfectly — not to mention it’s the perfect size for travel.

4. Extra protection

Before you head out on your next expedition, make sure you apply a little extra deodorant to keep yourself fresh throughout the day. Secret’s new Fresh line packs a serious punch, lasting for up to 48 hours and offering 11 scents to fit your personal preference! Interested in learning more? Check out their site here!

5. The feminine essential

Traveling and encountering new climates can seriously throw your body off in every way — and we do mean every way. Combat imbalanced pH levels and stay feeling fresh and clean with the Simply Summer’s Eve line! These products are all free from harsh chemicals (i.e., parabens, alcohol, dyes, etc.), are made from natural ingredients, and are guaranteed to work on even the most sensitive skin. Snag your own cleansing cloths or gentle foaming wash before you go — your body will be happy you did!

Once you’ve checked these items off your packing list, you’ll be ready to go! Enjoy every moment of your upcoming adventures, stay safe, and another big congratulations from everyone at Her Campus Millersville!

Millersville

I am a senior at Millersville University, where I am pursuing my bachelor's in communication studies. As the Editor-in-Chief of Her Campus Millersville, I am so thrilled to be able to lead and collaborate with the many creative students that populate our campus. My personal mission as EIC is to spread the word about Her Campus Millersville and bring the chapter back up to pink-level before I graduate in May 2017. In my spare time, I love binge-watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix and spending time with my fiancé and our families. I'm also a sales associate at my local LOFT store and a proud fur mama to a sweet pup named Java. My passions include social media, fashion, coffee, and bad puns. My ultimate dream is to work for Her Campus Media at their headquarters in Boston, MA -- let's hope I can make it there! Instagram: @dezidonaldson
