16 Throwback Disney Channel Jams You Forgot You Loved

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Millersville chapter.

Ready Or Not – Bridgit Mendler

First stealing our hearts as Justin Russo’s vampire girlfriend in Wizards of Waverly Place, Bridgit Mendler certainly made a name for herself in Disney. While we loved her as Teddy in Good Luck Charlie, the musical Bridgit was definitely the one to follow. This was a good “sunny day drive” kind of song.

Now or Never – High School Musical 3 Cast

Zac Efron became a heartthrob when he changed status quo in the first High School Musical, but he became a man with that hair flip at the beginning of the third movie. Goodness gracious,

He Could Be The One – Hannah Montana

Jesse or Jake? Jesse or Jake? JESSE OR JAKE? This Hannah Montana weekend special was MADNESS. This was a shower song for any girl with a crush or love triangle in 2009. Also, I still haven’t decided between Jesse or Jake. Ugh.

This is Me – Demi Lovato, Camp Rock

The movie that launched her career, Demi Lovato was a #girlboss in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2. Who didn’t lose their mind when Mitchie turned around and sang, no, OWNED that chorus. Add Joe Jonas and BAM. Instant classic.

Breaking Free – Troy & Gabriella, HSM

Epic. No words.

Burning Up – Jonas Brothers

Oh, the Jo Bros! Everyone’s heart throbs since 2005. Who didn’t love this music video? The fire, the pool party and a surprise appearance from the bros security guard? Nothing was more glorious.

Best of Both Worlds – Hannah Montana

Definitely the best theme song to ever grace this earth.

See You Again – Miley Cyrus

Woah, Hannah Montana is also Miley Cyrus?? This was Miley’s first hit as herself, and there is no denying it was a BANGER.

Push It to  the Limit – Corbin Bleu

No Disney Channel original was as intense as Jump In. Corbin Bleu set a bar for the amount of angsty teen moments in just an hour and twenty-five minutes.

The Climb – Miley Cyrus

There was not a dry eye in the audience when (SPOILER ALERT) Miley takes off her wig at the end and showed all of Crowley Corners who she really was. I’m choking up now just thinking about it. Oh, my achy-breaky-heart!

Cheetah Sisters – Cheetah Girls

We. Stand. TOGETHER. No one was as fierce as this cheetah-licious group.

What Dreams Are Made Of – Hilary Duff, Lizzie McGuire

I can’t even begin to explain how much this one means to me. Mm. It really is what dreams are made of.

Potential Breakup Song – Aly & AJ

This is definitely the song I would pick as my “could’ve had this” moment. (PSA ALY AND AJ HAVE NEW MUSIC OUT THIS IS NOT A DRILL!)

Strut – Cheetah Girls

Strut – LIKE YOU MEAN IT. This is such a #girlboss song.

Tell Me Something I Don’t Know – Selena Gomez

She had to be on this list! Selena’s Disney days were definitely the prime Disney days.

7 Things – Miley Cyrus

This song got me through plenty a crushes. Being named several times on this list, Miley was, and however she feels about, IS, the reigning queen of Disney Channel.
