What I Want For Christmas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Miami (OH) chapter.

Let’s just all pretend this isn’t my way of scamming the HerCampus system to figure out what I want this year for Christmas. Let’s also pretend I’m not going to copy and paste this and send it to my parents. So remember, this article is only for all you ladies out there to give you some inspiration for what to ask for this year! *wink wink nod nod*

Apple Watch

This is definitely going to be my big ticket item this Christmas. I really want it for the health functions that it has, like the heart rate monitor and for tracking my steps. I’m pretty fit and I think this is one of the more attractive looking health watches out there. Last year I had a Polar watch and I ended up not wearing it because of its chunkiness on my tiny wrists. The sleek design of the Apple Watch is actually something I would want to wear on a daily basis. The one I have listed here is the Series 3, but the Series 1 is $249 and the only real difference is the waterproof capability. So, if that doesn’t matter to you, go for the Series 1!

Boxycharm Subscription

Another larger gift that I’m considering asking for is a year long subscription to Boxycharm. This subscription service sends out five FULL SIZE beauty products a month. For each individual month, the box costs $21 and it always retails for more than $100. Pretty crazy, I know. They usually send out popular brands like CoverFX, Tarte, Luxie, and ColourPop. By buying a full year in one go, you basically are getting one box for free. The only real problem I can see with asking for this is that I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with all the new products I’ll be getting each month storage-wise. Either way, this is the gift that keeps on giving for all of us makeup lovers.

Everyday Necklace

I’ve been needing a new everyday necklace for so long! Last year I had one that I loved, but then I lost it at a frat house *rip*. Then I bought one over the summer and it broke after like a month #SAD. So, I’m in dire need to get some jewelry on my naked neck!!! I’m mostly attracted to simple, gold necklaces as you can clearly see. All these options are available on Nordstrom’s website!

Signature Scent

Right now I’m wearing 5-year-old body spray from Bath and Body Works as my perfume. Not exactly the mature vibes I want to be giving off all the time. I desperately need to up my scent game, however I have no clue what perfume I want. Getting a sampler gift set is a great way to test out a bunch of perfumes to find the one for you. Plus this particular set from Sephora comes with a voucher for a travel-sized bottle of your new favorite scent.

Shoes

Mama needs a new pair of shoes! All of my current working out shoes (yes, I have more than one pair because I’m an annoying gym rat) are falling apart at the seams. They have holes, the soles are worn down, and they just aren’t cute or practical anymore. The struggle is real to find a pair of lightweight training shoes that also offer a decent amount of support. I typically go for the basic Nike running shoes, but they honestly suck and kill my feet. So I’m going to try to branch out to a brand that is known for quality shoes – Asics. These seem to be a good fitting shoe for what I’m looking for. Pun intended.

But just remember the real reason for the holiday season – giving. So give all your gifts to me. Merry Christmas!!!!
