Name: Ryan Morris

Year in School: Senior

Major/Minor: Finance and Entrepreneurship

Hometown: Amherst, Ohio

Relationship Status: I’ve been dating my girlfriend since the end of freshmen year.

Campus Involvement: Jr. Redhawks Youth Hockey Coach, Beta Theta Pi, Club Team President, IM Hockey and Broomball

What is your favorite Miami memory so far?

I studied abroad at Miami’s Luxembourg campus and had an incredible time.  I made it to 13 different cities including Rome, Amsterdam, and Prague.  I loved the history and cultural aspects, but also had an awesome time “going out” in great foreign locations.  My roommate and host parents were a blast to be around, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

What are your career goals?

I’ve accepted a job with Nielsen.  Long-term, I have varied interests and would strongly consider completing an MBA program.

What’s your favorite…

  • Bar Uptown?  Stein’s without question
  • Dinosaur? T-Rex, of course
  • 90’s song? Tag Team’s “Whoomp!  There it is”
  • Class at Miami?  Entrepreneurial Marketing or Opera Class in Luxembourg
  • Concert you’ve been to?  I went to a “Hot Chelle Rae” concert this summer in Stamford.  I really don’t like the band, but Stamford’s “Alive at 5” setup turned into a great time.

What qualities do you look for in a guy/girl?  Pretty, fun, good person

What is one thing that is on your bucket list? I’d love to run with the bulls in Pamplona.  I’ve got two friends committed to do it with me this summer after graduation, so hopefully everything goes well.

If you could have dinner with one person dead or alive, who would it be?  Wayne Gretzky

What is your most embarrassing Miami Moment?  Freshman year I was a little over committed.  I had an internship, work, pledging, club sports, coached Jr. Hawks, and a couple majors.  The lack of sleep led to a whole slew of embarrassing moments but I’ll keep specifics off the internet…
