Revlon & Gucci Westman Celebrate 80 Years of Bold Glamour during Fashion’s Night Out

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Miami (OH) chapter.

Calling all collegiettes! Yesterday was Fashion’s Night Out (FNO), which is hands down one of the most anticipated and noteworthy dates on the fashion calendar. In the next 24 hours 18 different countries are hosting their own version of FNO. The fashion forward had an opportunity to spend their evening with celebrity models, designers, editors, and actors at in-store events. The editor-at-large for FIT shares a guide to FNO that is definitely worth reading to ensure your status as the most informed fashionista on your campus. (PhotoSource)

Revlon’s FNO event in New York’s Meatpacking District, is one particular party that we are bummed about missing. Revlon and its Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, co-host the ultimate ‘glam’ party to celebrate Revlon’s 80-years as a beauty icon. At this celebration, attendees enjoyed custom makeovers inspired by looks from Revlon’s eight decades designed by Westman’s New York Fashion Week team, manicures by celebrity nail expert, Jin Soon Choi, using colors from the latest collection, and to capture the relaxing evening of cocktails and spa treatments, there will be a Revlon photo booth!

Since we didn’t get the okay from our professor’s to skip class and trek to New York, we’ll just have to settle for previewing Westman’s newest color collection, The Shanghai Collection, online before it’s released in stores this October. This particular collection draws inspiration from the beautiful and striking romantic films of China. We are so looking forward to perfecting our pout with Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherry Blossom!

All proceeds from Revlon’s event were donated to the Personal Care Products Council Foundation to benefit Look Good Feel Better. Look Good Feel Better is an organization that helps cancer patients improve their self-esteem and confidence by teaching them how to cope with the changes in their appearance.

Our sister branches, FIT, NYU, and Pace are in the heart of all the action this week, so be sure to check their pages for reviews on this makeover party and other Fashion Week fete’s!
