Lizzie Miller
Year in School: Sophomore
Major/Minor: Markering and Italian/Management Double Minor
Hometown: Sewickley, PA (right outside of Pittsburgh)
 

I am a member of Kappa Delta and I could not be more excited to be a part of the Her Campus team! I joined HC this fall because I have a hidden passion for writing and it’s a fun thing for me to do with my KD sisters on the team. I’m an avid yoga and closet solitaire addict. My favorite movie is Caddyshack and my celebrity crush is Travis Rice (pro snowboarder). Weird Fact: from the age 5-7 I only drank strawberry milk. Love and AOT!

On campus I am also on staff at MQ Magazine and the Miami Student Newspaper. I love writing more than anything, which is why I became involved in HerCampus. It will give me even more experience with different styles of writing. I am also a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, and am an officer in the Society of Professional Journalists’ Miami Chapter.

Here at Miami I am a Young Life leader and on staff for Up fashion magazine. I decided to start writing for Her Campus because I love to write and all of HC’s articles are so fun! The most important things in my life are my faith, my family, and my friends, and the little things in life that bring me joy are java chip frappaccinos, anything nautical, and the season between summer and fall.

I’m a member of Alpha Xi Delta and also work at B.E.S.T. Library here at Miami. I was an avid reader of Her Campus last year and was so excited when I found out that Miami was getting its own branch. I love being able to contribute to a website that I find so interesting and I enjoy getting other girls excited about it too!

Alaine Perconti graduated from Miami University (OH) with degrees in Marketing and Journalism. She is the co-founder of the Miami (OH) Chapter and was President from 2011-2013. After graduation, Alaine moved to Cincinnati, OH where she works for a digital marketing agency and is an active volunteer for a local animal rescue. As an HC Alum, Alaine is now a Her Campus Chapter Advisor and is excited to be a positive influence and professional partner for CC's in her new role.
