My fellow collegiates, this is the final stretch of midterms, papers, and last minute projects before the real party begins: Spring Break. To help prep for your spring break getaway, we put together the ultimate spring break packing list. Whether you’re off to party in Cabo or planning a warm weather vacay, these spring-ready essentials need to make it into your suitcase.

1. Cool Inexpensive Shades

Keyword: INEXPENSIVE. It’s super cool to have the latest pair of RayBans, but do you really want to risk breaking them on the beach? Bringing a pair of sunnies that don’t break the bank are an easy and cheap way to look good without the risk of damaging them!

2. Stringy Bikini

We say “stringy” because the less tan lines the better. “There is nothing worse than coming back from spring break and having questionable tan lines from a really intricate bathing suit. The simpler, the better.” Says senior, Jessie W.

3. A Floppy Hat

The Kentucky Derby is approaching, so why not get two uses out of that floppy hat and bring it on spring break as well? It’s a great fashion accessory and protects your face from those harsh UV-rays.

4. Easy-To-Carry Beach Bag

Make sure this is large enough to fit all of your essentials – towel, sunscreen, flip flops, beverages, speaker, phone, etc.

5. Flash Tatts

Flash Tatts are always trending. Bring them with you to the beach and put them on with your friends! Although, you should be warned that they can result in some funny tan lines depending on their design and location.

6. All-Purpose Dress

This dress is something you can wear to the beach with flip flops, or dress up with a cute wedge or chic sandal. Multiple uses for one dress means more room in your suitcase for other goodies!

7. Chic Sandals

What is more fun than going out with your galpals after a day filled with endless GT’s at the beach??? Nothing. So pack the proper shoes to dress up your evening outfit, but make sure they’re comfortable enough to wear over sunburnt toes!

8. A Good Book

This is one of the only times out of the semester where you can sit down and read a book (for pleasure). So bring a good read to enjoy while lounging by the pool!

9. CC Cream

Because let’s face it, wrinkles are a real thing. We don’t need expedite that premature aging process now do we?
