5 Trends You Must Try This Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Miami (OH) chapter.

With the cold weather approaching, it is time to put away our tank tops, high waisted shorts, and flip-flops. The trends this fall are cute, casual, comfortable, and very easy to find in stores and online.

1. Leather boots

The first thing you will see when the weather gets slightly cold is everyone’s need to put on boots. Now I am not talking Ugg boots, I am talking trendy leather. Either black or brown, these boots are essential to black leggings on the way to class or uptown. Piperlime is a great place to look for boots because they feature many styles and designers.

2. Oversized sweaters
These are essential for day drinking uptown or even to just go to dinner. You can buy these at multiple stores and in multiple colors and threads. If you want to try to switch things up, wear them off the shoulder. A few good places to find sweaters are Free People, Forever 21, and Tobi.

3. Infinity scarves
They might not be the warmest scarves, but they do compliment a lot of casual plain shirts. Infinity scarves can go with long sleeve flowy tees, baggy shirts or even sweaters. These come in a variety of sizes and colors. Some great places to look for these would be at any department store, like Nordstrom, or Forever 21 for those on a budget.

4.  Denim shirts

These are the must have for the season. They come in a variety of styles and shades of denim and look great with a pair of leggings and boots. This can be a casual or dressy look, depending on what you accessorize it with. Some great styles can be found at Tobi and J Crew.

5. Long shift dresses
These are the perfect dresses to wear out when the weather starts getting cold. These dresses can be found in a variety of prints and solids. They are not tight, but the best part about them is that they are still very flattering. They even look good if you buy a size up and belt them. Some of my favorites can be found at Forever 21 and Asos.
