3 Simple and Healthy Meals to Make for Yourself

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Miami (OH) chapter.

1. Shredded Chicken

Ingredients

-Chicken breast

-Avacado

-Taco seasoning

-optional- cheese/vegan cheese

Boil a few chicken breasts for about 25 to 30 minutes. Once cooked take a fork to shred the chicken. Place the chicken back into the pot, pour in a little water, and add the taco seasoning. Finally, cut up an avocado and mix in with the chicken. If you’re feeling a little extra hungry try adding in some cheese. It’s super simple but will keep you filled up without feeling bloated.

2. Egg white omelet

Ingredients

-Egg whites

-Bell peppers

-Onions

-Hot sauce

Put some egg whites into a pan and add some cut up bell peppers and onions until cooked. Kroger has an already packaged, cut-up medley of bell peppers and onion To give it an extra kick add some hot sauce like Red Hot or Sriracha.

3. Spaghetti Squash

-Sliced squash

-Pasta Sause

-Turkey meatball/ veggie meatball

-Olive Oil

Put some olive oil and the sliced squashed into a pan and allow it to cook until soft. Feel free to add some spices while that’s happening, I like to add basil and garlic. While that is cooking, heat up your turkey meatballs or veggie meatballs in the oven. When those are done cut them up and add them into the squash along with the pasta sauce. Let the sauce get warm and it’s ready to eat!
