Why I Think Pinterest Is the Best Social Media App

Most social media apps want you undying attention while Pinterest actually wants to give their attention to you. As I’m a faithful user and have used it for so many years, I can ramble on and on about how much I love the app. It has given me so much inspo, joy, and cured so much boredom just from scrolling its endless pages. I wanted to share my love with others and give some of the main reasons why it is the best social media app.

It focuses more on ideas and creativity rather than comparison and popularity. With apps such as Instagram or TikTok where likes, followers, and trends tend to dominate the feed, Pinterest is centered around inspiration. People, such as myself, go on the app to find inspo for outfits, nails, room designs, projects, or make boards based on moods. (my go to way of surfing the site😉)

I have been able to find so many cute outfits inspo, but also found cute items. With its new feature of being able to image search for certain pins, I have been able to get so many cute pieces based on outfits I’ve saved. It didn’t give me just one, but multiple options from different sites while instagram or tiktok would give me only one option. I’m sorry no, I’m a broke college girl who’s trying to look cute while being affordable.

I have found that it’s so much better for everyday use. Many social media platforms are for the user’s entertainment, but Pinterest stands out by helping you with planning. Some of the activities helped me plan workouts, projects, and even parties I plan. I have been able to use it as a vision board as well, allowing me to get my mental health in a better state by giving me something to expect from the year even if I don’t get it.

The algorithm of Pinterest has been more personalized compared to other apps is how I have found it to be. It really gives me pins I want to see and need to see to add to my inspiration or even my mood board. This makes the experience feel more personal rather than being overwhelmed by all the content. I get content pushed that the app knows that I will enjoy rather than pointless doom scrolling on the other apps.

Overall, these are just some of the many reasons why Pinterest is just the best social media app. Giving the user the creative freedom, positive posting environment, and making it a better experience than other social media apps just shows its amazingness.

Some things I enjoy is spending time with my friends, dogs (especially labs and golden retrievers), going to the beach and watching movies.🩷💚
