Kathryne Beagan is one of the sweetest girls you will meet at Merrimack College. It is mostly likely you have heard of her from the many activities she’s involved in on campus.
Kathryne is from Melrose, MA and went to high school at Our Lady of Nazareth Academy in Wakefield for three years until it was shut down.For her senior year, Kathryne then transferred to Austin Preparatory School to finish off her high school career.
Today, she is a junior at Merrimack College and is a human development major. Kathryne is studying elementary education and psychology with the hope of pursuing a career in teaching. This career path fits Kathryne perfectly, having such a friendly and charismatic personality.
Not only is Kathryne very involved on campus, but she has been on the infamous M.O.R.E retreat hosted by Campus Ministry. She is a member of the service committee in the education club as well as the co-president and co-captain of the Merrimack Dance Club. The Dance Club reflects her love for tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, pointe, and hip hop since age three.
Kathryne was a 2012 Orientation leader, she enjoyed helping out and making the first year for freshman instantly feel like home. When she’s not super involved in classes or extra-curricular activities, Kathryne helps relieve stress by working as a Merrimack Zumba instructor every Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00. In her free time, Kathryne absolutely loves to bring out her creative side by scrapbooking to savore all of the memories she has.
Keep your eyes out for Kathryne Beagan because she is taking the campus by storm. From being a full time student, to a dancer and a zumba instructor with ambitions of being a teacher, she’s definitely someone you could learn a few things from.
