Recommended by You! Jenny Bui

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mercer chapter.

1. Full Name: Huyen Thanh Bui but I go by Jenny.

2. Classification: Junior

3. Major/minor: Biology/pre-pharmacy

4. Relationship status: Single

5. Hobbies? I love to read, pretty open to any genre as long as you tell me it’s a good read, play volleyball, tennis, piano, go on outdoor adventures, bake especially the decorating part, and spending time with friends.

6. Involvement/clubs you are in at Mercer? Mercer Vietnamese Student Association, Alpha Epsilon Delta, Honor Council, Mercer Catholic Campus Ministry, Chemistry TA, Association of Pre-pharmacy students, MPOC

7. What do you want to do when you graduate/goals for the future? The goal right now is a pharmacist. I am not sure what kind yet, but I definitely want to do mission trips, too.

8. Favorite Quote? “The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.” –Mother Theresa

9. What do you look for in a partner? He has to be able to make me laugh because otherwise life would be so boring. I want someone motivated in life and is hardworking. It would be ideal if he is athletic so we could play sports together. If he knew how to cook that would be great because I can’t at all. He especially just has to have a genuine heart.

10. Favorite Mercer memory? It would definitely be the Mercer on Mission trip to Vietnam. There was an ongoing joke to take snap chats of me and post them into the entire group message. It was really embarrassing during the trip, but it is the funniest thing now looking back. From night market sprees, to drinking coconuts all the time, to making prosthetic legs, and forming an incredible bond with each other, it was an unforgettable experience.
