Mercer Hosts Annual Family Weekend

Mercer hosts its annual family weekend that features events for the entire student body and their relatives to enjoy. This weekend features food, music, sports and entertainment. Some of the events featured this weekend are:

Saturday, September 24

8:30-10:30am On-Site Registration//Bear Rock Café

9-10am Breakfast with faculty//Bear Rock Café

Enjoy a free continental breakfast with faculty and staff

9-11am Tower Tours//Administration Building

Head over to the administration building and enjoy the view!

11:30am Welcome Program//Willingham Auditorium

12:30pm Lunch//Historic Quad (Rainsite: University Center Intramural Courts)

Enjoy jazz music and family photo opportunities with Toby the Bear!

2-4pm Climb the Wall//Intramural Fields

2:30, 3, 3:30, 4pm Downtown Trolley Tours (Experience the culture and history of Macon on our historic trolleys!)

3:00pm Family Weekend Concert- Mercer Singers//McCorkle Music Building

3:00pm  Women’s Volleyball vs. Belmont/ UC Arena

4-7pm Check out Macon! Enjoy discounts at downtown eateries!

7pm Mercer Theatre presents “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”   Backdoor Theater.

*7:30pm  McDuffie Strings Concert, “Romantic Voices”  Grand Opera House

8:30pm  Intown Macon Historic Lighting Tour – Meet in Connell Student Center Breezeway -Limit 40 persons so come early!

Sunday, September 25

11:00am Worship Service//Centenary United Methodist

1:00pm  Women’s Soccer vs. Belmont/ Soccer Field

Ashley is a senior at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. She is a journalism major with a minor in art. Playing an active role on campus, she is a staff writer for The Cluster, Secretary for the Society for Collegiate Journalists, Build Coordinator for Habitat for Humanity and On-site reporter for Mercer99 News. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, volunteering, watching ESPN and any installment of The Real Housewives. After graduation Ashley plans to attend graduate school seeking a dual degree in journalism and law.
