I have an almost disturbing love for coffee mugs. There’s just something about the way they’re crafted—each with their own personality—and how I can always choose one to fit my mood. There’s an undeniable sense of comfort found in these delicate, impermanent, pieces of ceramic.

Another thing I have an undying love for? My microwave.

You see children, from the beginning of time, microwaves and mugs were destined to be together.

Or, at least since 1946.

But today is no different! When these two come together, magic is made. Romance is sparked. Waves are emitted.

No, really. Microwaves emit radio waves that agitate water molecules in food, making them vibrate and generate heat.

The point is, something beautiful is made when these two are united. And although this was all just an insane build up to delicious, super easy snack recipes you can make in your favorite mug, never forget the greatest love story of all.

I hope you enjoy.

Savory

Sweet

Strawberry Mug Pie: With this recipe, you can use fruit to satisfy that sweet tooth. Not to mention it just looks so pretty.

Nutella Cake: Nutella is possibly the best invention ever made, and this mug cake is possibly the second. This recipe produces the most gooey, chocolatey, brownie-like cake. You won’t be sorry for indulging.

Coffee Cake: Chocolate, white, red velvet… you’ve probably had several versions of these cakes throughout your lifetime. Try something new with this mug cake. Coffee cake is the perfect compliment to your morning brew, and a tasty one.
