“When sisters stand shoulder to shoulder, who stands a chance against us?”

I have three sisters (and two brothers) but nothing is stronger than the bond I have with my two older sisters. Don’t get me wrong, I love my little sister and my brothers (young and old),  but my older sisters and I are more than anything anyone could ever begin to imagine. Truthfully, I don’t know where to start. There’s a million things to say about the two of them, and the three of us overall.

We’re sisters so of course there are times (plenty of them) where all we want to do is rip each others heads off and bury it in the backyard somewhere. But at the same time if anyone ever thinks of disrespecting one of us, harming one of us, or breaking one of our hearts.. Well, good luck! First of all, we’re portuguese, and DeMoranville’s…so our tempers are worse than the terrible twos and our patience is lower than most. Even when we hate each other, we always have each others back. Through the darkest of nights and the brightest of days, my sisters can always be found right by my side.

Now let’s get to the specifics of each of them, starting with Courtney. She was my first best friend and was also the stronger person I knew throughout my entire childhood. I looked up to her for that- her strength, her dedication, her passion, and her work ethic. At first I was young so there was a lot I didn’t quite understand but I knew enough to know whatever she was doing, I wanted to do too. Which even led to us having numerous identical scars, which for the record wasn’t so fun but ya know, whatever.

Throughout middle and high school, she was my escape. Our dad had two more kids when I was in middle school and the last thing I wanted was to be around crying babies, not to mention I also really hated Attleboro for a time. Every weekend and every vacation I spent at her house and the memories we made, pets we had, and laughs we shared are something I could never share with another person.

Flashback to 2015, she had her first (and only) kid. Jesse David Tremblay, the number one person in my life, my little angel (even though he’s a devil), the light of my life. Her strength continued to shine through even more from turning into supersister to supermom. She’s had her fair share of mistakes among the years, but she’s human, and that’s to be expected.

When it comes to Casie it’s a lot different than how it was with Courtney when I was growing up. For awhile one of the biggest reasons I escaped to Courtneys was to escape from Casie. We weren’t the best of friends for the majority of our teenage years. We actually hated each other and fought like cats and dogs pretty much every day. Except, I still stuck by her side when she needed me. From seeing her cry to seeing her get beat up, I came to the rescue. There was no argument or fight that would ever prevent me from defending her. At the end of each and every day she was (and is) my sister and I would never let anything happen to her.

We didn’t start to get close until I moved 3 hours away and started college. Once I moved here, I realized just how much I miss being around her and laughing with her. Matter of fact, she’s usually the one I miss the most (aside from my nephew) when I am at college. She’s the one who usually picks me up and brings me back to school and she’s the one who answers every crying facetime when life just isn’t going the right way. She’s become my best friend over the past two years and even though sometimes she still makes me go a lot mental, I know I’m blessed to have her crazy ass in my life.

Overall, my sisters and I may hate each other from time to time but we will never let anything happen to each other. If you mess with one of us you literally are messing with all of us and I would never want it any other way. I am forever blessed to have such a huge family and two amazing older sisters.
