It’s that time of year again: Valentine’s Day. Regardless of how you’re spending the day, I would argue that having a list of things to watch on Netflix is essential; especially if your plan is staying home and snacking while watching TV all night like me. So without further ado, here’s a list of shows and movies on Netflix that work for any mood to help you get through Valentine’s Day.

If You’re in the Mood For: A Sitcom

The Office

A classic choice. What could be better than spending an evening watching (or rewatching) arguably one of the greatest sitcoms to ever exist? That’s right, you guessed it, nothing. If you want to make it Valentine’s Day themed, season 2 episode 16 (“Valentine’s Day) is a classic, as is season 5 episode 18 (“Blood Drive”).

Kim’s Convenience

If you haven’t already started watching this show, get on it! Kim’s Convenience is an excellent, and Canadian, comedy surrounding the lives of a Korean-Canadian family in Toronto. It’s funny, it’s sincere, it’s everything you could possibly want.

If You’re in the Mood For: A Romantic Comedy

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

This Netflix original is the perfect choice. Noah Centineo, Lana Condor, two opposite words colliding, a love triangle, a hot tub. Need I say more? Did I mention Noah Centineo?

The Vow

A big throwback is now available on Netflix. This love story is based on real events, and I still remember being a teenager in tears at the movies when it first came out. Watch Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams navigate love, trauma, and family pressures in this heart-wrenchingly beautiful movie.

If You’re in the Mood For: Drama

Gossip Girl

Sex, betrayal, love, friendships, scandals, blackmail, death. All of these things can happen within the span of one Gossip Girl episode. So let the world of the Upper East Side take you away and imagine what Gossip Girl would have written about you. Are you a Blair or a Serena? Who’s more despicable: Vanessa or Jenny? There’s six seasons worth of drama to keep you entertained, and make you feel better about the dysfunction in your own life because there’s no way it’s as bad as the dysfunction in theirs.

You

Let’s end this list with a cautionary tale. You is certainly dramatic, and scary, and points out that relationships aren’t always flower and chocolates. Sometimes it’s stalking and murder! So who really needs Valentine’s Day? Be careful out there, don’t let the Joes of the world fool you.
