Spooky Season: 5 Halloween Events Worth Attending

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at McGill chapter.

The weather is getting gloomier, we are sipping on pumpkin spice lattes, the leaves are slowly changing colours – fall is officially here and it is exciting. Whether you have numerous midterms or papers due, you can’t forget that it is HALLOWEEN season!

We are so lucky to live in a city like Montreal because there are so many Halloween events going on. You’ll definitely have a hard time deciding on your costume and choosing which of the diverse events to go.

1. The Cabin in the Woods: Halloween Party

The Cabin in the Woods: Halloween Party is organized by McGill University’s student societies: MCSS (Mac Campus Students’ Society) and SSMU (Students’ Society of McGill University). The event will be taking place at the Centennial Centre on Mac Campus and will be an excellent chance to socialize with McGill students and visit the Mac Campus, whilst immersing yourself in a horror movie vibe because come on, a large percentage of horror movies include a cabin and a forest. The cover is $25 including transportation and 1 free drink, but if you don’t need the transportation it’s $17. Transportation will be done by buses, so you will definitely get flashbacks to Beach Day. There will be a costume contest going on, with the best costume winning a prize. However, be careful while choosing your costume: since the event will be going on under the name of McGill University, you do have to obey to some regulations. You can find all the information you need on the Facebook link to this event. So, go forth for a spooky night in the Mac forest!
