Despite the more traditional associations we make with Valentine’s Day (i.e., romance, fancy dinner dates, chocolate, bouquets of roses), this day is also a day to demonstrate your love and affection to your friends, family, and of course yourself. Perhaps you would even agree that one day dedicated to demonstrating your immeasurable love and appreciation to your special ones does not suffice. The latter may be true, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t take the opportunity to get festive in the V-Day spirit and whip up a playlist or two to listen to some tunes.
With this, I have made 3 different playlists. One for you and your partner (if you’re feeling relatively romantic), one just for you to embrace some self-love, and lastly, one to enjoy with some friends/discover some cool tunes in general. There is quite the mix of several different genres, with the occasional throwbacks! So, here they are:

If you’re not up to following these playlists and would prefer others, I would highly suggest the Spotify playlists “Valentine’s Day Love” (for some romance), “Songs to Sing in the Car” (a fun mix of classics, with a touch of indie/alternative), and “Women of Indie,” if you’re in the mood to support some fellow females and discover some sweet tunes!
Ultimately, make Valentine’s Day however you want to make it. It doesn’t hurt to do so while jamming to some music that you enjoy and will add an extra touch of positivity to your day!
