John Mulaney – New in Town
I actually felt relief after watching this special. I’d been stressed out with work all day and then I took a break, got some food, and sat down to watch this stand up special for an hour and some change and I felt myself relaxing at least for a little bit. Mulaney is funny in a way you wouldn’t believe, in a way that it doesn’t even matter that he’s handsome. Who said that cute boys aren’t funny? Oh yeah, no one has ever said that, nevermind.

Donald Glover – Weirdo
If you watch Community then you know Glover as the loveable, albeit childish Troy. Or if you know memes, he’s the one running around in a gif screaming “my whole brain is crying!” Hey you’ve probably used that gif before if you’ve ever found yourself freaking out about work mid-mindless internet foray. Or if you’re a fan of Drake, Glover is the other emo rapper called Childish Gambino. Glover happens to be a triple if not quadruple threat. He’s also a hilarious stand up comedian. Watch this special and fall in love with him all over again.

Louis C.K. – Live at the Beacon Theatre
Louis C.K. is the comic of comics. He’s the comic du jour. C.K. is a comic so respected that if he testifies you’re funny you instantly have a hit stand up special on your hands. Hey ask Tig Notaro. Also buy her album “Live” (as in to live) on itunes for five bucks, you probably won’t regret it. But anyway, back to Louis C.K. This guy is a famous comedian for a reason. He’s so funny that he can make you pee in your pants. I’m kidding; that’s never happened to me. But anyway, this special might not be his absolute funniest (for that check out either “chewed up” or “shameless”) but this is his most recent material and its still wonderful.
