In the modern age, technology has become a vital part of our own identities. Our love for it has even stretched outwar and influenced our fashion. Forget Google Glass; that was so last season. Conventions like this month’s South by Southwestare, preview technology startups that could possibly influence us across the board, including in fashion. Here are some of the pieces that seem quite wearable:

Line of The Party

Perhaps you wouldn’t be voted best dressed at a party, but you would most certainly be the most popular. As a walking and talking wifi hotspot, imagine everyone swarming around you just to be in close enough proximity to catch those four bars. Byborre has created a knit onsie called the BB suit that doubles as a wifi hotspot and GPS, instantly simplifying your daily routine. An extra bonus, this suit is a one-piece, so you wouldn’t even have to worry about matching bottoms. (See video)

Energize Your Outfit

Cell phones have become our most essential accessories. A few accessories for the phone, showcased at SXSW, will bring us even closer to our phones. The “314 Purse” by John Lou doubles as a charger using “MIT fuel cell techonology”. The Bag’s sporty look seems modest compared to the gawdy shoulder pads of “Wearable Solar” designed by Pauline van Dongan. Using solar energy to charge your phone, this piece will definitely give you a futuristic look and it’s practical.

Bright Lights

Wearing this cool piece will be an instant conversation starter. GerMood by Sensoree changes colour according to your mood. The Lady Gaga-esque headpiece detects your brain waves and expresses them through bright colours. You won’t need jewelry to complement this loud piece.
