Here are a few parties and events you might be interested in checking out around the city this year.

1 4Floors
This is one of McGill’s many great events, and it’s on a Thursday, so you don’t have to sacrifice that great party happening on the weekend. 4Floors won’t break the bank, and you get to party on campus. Check out our event article here, as well as the Facebook event.

2 WaterCan McGill
Love to party for charity? WaterCan McGill is taking place Saturday, October 29 at Telus Theatre on Saint-Denis. There will be a raffle and an all you can drink bar. All proceeds will go to WaterCan 2011/12 Chapter Challenge. For more information and to RSVP click here!

3 Fright Fest at La Ronde
Summon your inner child and spend the weekend on roller coasters at La Ronde. This yearly event has everything from haunted houses, to fortunetellers, and creepy characters. But don’t be fooled—this event is actually pretty scary (so much so that it isn’t recommended for kids under the age of 13!). Fright Fest happens every weekend until October 30th. Check the website out for more information.

4 Montreal Bars and Clubs
If you’re the going out type, virtually every club and bar in the city is having a Halloween party. Just check the newspapers and Internet for great parties and themes. Some charge entrance fees or require tickets, so plan ahead! Several great parties happening this year are 1234’s Monster Mash and Time Supper Club is having a super hero themed party. If you’re looking for a low-key costume party, go to one of the many bars this city has to offer.

5 The Rocky Horror Picture Show Halloween Ball
If theatre is more your thing, and if you love singing along to the Time Warp, this event is perfect for you. The annual Rocky Horror Picture Show ball features a live cast acting the cult movie out, while it plays in the background. There is also a costume contest, so dress to impress! The show takes place October 28, 29, and 31, and this year, it has been moved to The Imperial Cinema. For more information, visit the official website.
