The Basics
What’s your name, school year, and area of study? I’m Manny Tinoco, a U4 student studying Kinesiology
Where are you from? Caracas, Venezuela! Moved to Montreal when I was 12, and now I’m at McGill.
School Life
Favourite class you’ve taken at McGill and favourite professor? Anatomy, Celena Bergdhal. She’s very clear and concise with the material (it was also an easy A).
Where do you spend most of your time outside of class/What is your favourite study spot? I work at a gym as personal trainer, so that’s where I am usually. If I’m not working, I’ll be chilling with my cat at home. To study, I can usually be found at the “Traphouse” (my friend Alexis’s apartment, haha.)
Are there any extracurricular activities you participate in outside of school? I work as a personal trainer and I’m also the Consul of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
Favourite memory at McGill? Winning best frosh leader two years ago! I’m not going to mention anything too fratty… but my co-leaders and I were lucky to have sick froshees that were cool and fun and always down to get turnt.
What about your favourite thing about your fraternity? This sounds cheesy, but making life long bonds with all of my brothers. Just being able to get involved in the McGill community while giving back is awesome, too.
Do you have any funny frat stories you could tell our readers? Haha, I’m not going to mention anything too bad… but just last night at a party we had, one of my brothers ripped off a door to impress some girls.
The Fun
Where is your favourite spot to go out? Mme. Lee’s, getting bottles. Its music is dope and the people I go with are always down for a good time.
It’s 3AM on Friday night/Saturday morning. Where are you, what are you doing, and who are you with? On my way back to the frat house with my bros after a night out.
Favourite girly drink? Mojitos!
The Girl Talk
What do you usually look for in a girl? Hmm, this is hard but.. a girl who doesn’t take herself too seriously. Also enjoys physical activities, and she has to find puns funny.
What’s your best pickup line? I don’t usually use them, but I know a funny one. It’s weird but I found it on the Internet and it’s really funny: I wanna smear green paint on you and smack you like a disobedient avocado.
What about your biggest pet peeve in girls? Overusing the word “like”, and being close-minded.
What was your weirdest date like? I once went on a Tinder date, and the girl was very, very conscious about money and only wanted McDonald’s.
The Weird Facts
Celebrity male crush and why? DRIZZY. Because his beard is f*cking on point.
Tell us one weird fact about you: I kind of know too much about Harry Potter… haha.
What would you say is the most embarrassing song on your iPod/Phone? I don’t think it’s embarrassing, but.. “What Do You Mean” by Justin Bieber. I actually love it.
What about your favourite song? 54-46 was my number (we global remix).
Okay lastly, one serious question… Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Sailing the French Riviera on my yacht. Obviously with my cats.
