Campus Cutie: Fred-Éric Désulmé

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at McGill chapter.

Meet Fred-Éric Désulmé, a 19 year old U1 electrical engineering student from St-Hubert! This week’s cutie speaks three languages and is also learning a fourth. As if that wasn’t cool enough, he’s also currently working on building a Mars rover with the McGill Robotics club.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?   Settled down, have my own company,  and married with kids.

What do you like to do on your spare time? I play piano and guitar.

What languages do you speak? French, English, Creole and I’m trying to learning Spanish.

Favourite memory at McGill so far? Frosh, where I met a lot of my friends.

Why did you pick your program?  I picked it for multiple reasons. For one, stability of the market. I also had an electricity and magnetism class in Cegep and it fascinated me.

Fun facts:

Who is your favourite singer? Stromae

If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life, what would it be? I can’t limit myself to one outfit!

Favourite Mario Kart character? Mario!

What would your name be if you were the opposite gender? Olivia.

If you could have any super-power, what would it be? I already have beauty, so I would say super speed!

Name a movie title that describes your life. “Dear White People”

If you could choose a job with money not being a problem, what would you choose? I would be a barber. It sounds fun.

Who would win: Superman or Batman? Superman! Batman has no powers… But if I had to choose I’d be Batman because he’s rich.

Which Star Wars character would you be? Mace Windu because I’m black and I’m going bald.

It’s 3AM on Friday night/Saturday morning. Where are you, what are you doing, and who are you with? With my friends playing boardgames. “Loup-garou” is the best!

What would your tinder description say? It used to say that I’m 6’3, because I know girls like tall guys. Also that I’m an engineering student and that I like ping pong and classical music.
