Adele's Album '25' Takes Music Charts by Storm

Let's not kid ourselves and pretend we haven't listened to "Hello" on repeat since it was released last month. It was the first track Adele had released in 3 years and it took the world by storm. We had to go without Adele's impeccable, breathtaking voice singing for three whole years before our hearts melted or our eyes burst into tears (whichever happened first) with the release of "Hello." Now that she's back with a new album, we have more than enough to be excited about. Following the release of her latest album '25' this past Friday, industry sources are expecting to sell an estimated 2.5 million copies of the album in the first week alone. iTunes has already sold more than 900,000 downloads, bringing '25' to the number one spot on Apple's iTunes Chart in 110 countries. That being said, the album was not open to music-streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, most likely to keep the expected sales up (NY Times).

So what is it about her new album that makes it different from her previous albums? Although Adele's previous albums dealt more with break-ups (remember "Someone Like You" and "Rolling in the Deep"), her new album is all about make-ups. In a recent tweet about '25,' Adele wrote, "I'm making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did... 25 is about getting to know who I've become without realizing (Time)."

Just when we think Adele can't get any more perfect, she surprises us and does just that. This new album is no doubt going to make Adele fans feel a range of emotions like her songs usually do, but will also give us another side of her, one that will just make us love her even more. All we can do now is enjoy her new music and wait to see what kinds of amazing things she does next.
