Favorite TV show: I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I’ll watch ESPN, Seinfeld, or Jimmy Fallon. He’s been really funny lately.
Music you’re listening to right now: It’s definitely a mix! I like rap and hip-hop but I’ve gotten into 80s Rock, lately!
HC (Her Campus): Who is your celebrity crush?
JS (Jeremy Schmeissing): Anna Kournikova
HC: What are your biggest turnoffs and turnons?
JS: My biggest turnoff would have to be a bad personality. Like someone who isn’t very outgoing? (laughs) No, no, no, that’s bad to say! Just someone who’s closed off turns me off! I wanna be able to talk to you. My biggest turn-on would probably be intelligence. Gotta love a smart girl.
HC: What is your ideal date?
JS: Well, I like a variety! Not just dinner and a movie. I’d really like to do something at the beach! Just by water, ya know?
HC: What is your favorite thing to do?
JS: I love to golf!
HC: What is your favorite food?
JS: Anything that swims! I love seafood!
HC: What’s the weirdest seafood you’ve ever eaten?
JS: Fish eye! It had a weird texture…kinda squishy, but not bad!
HC: How did you end up eating that?
JS: I was in Ecuador!
HC: That’s so cool! Do you like to travel?
JS: I love it! Ecuador is the only place out of the country that I’ve been, but I’ve been all over the United States, I was born in Orlando, actually. I’ve never been to California or New York City, though!
HC: Where would you like to travel out of the country?
JS: Europe! France, Italy, Germany. I wanna go to South America, Australia, and New Zealand, as well.
HC: What brought you to Mary Baldwin?
JS: Well, I went to school at Sanford University in Birmingham, Alabama straight out of high school, and then I was back and forth between Sanford and Blue Ridge Community College. I finally decided to take this route because my mom works at Mary Baldwin. You know, take advantage of some faculty and staff benefits! (laughs) But, I really did come to love the school, the students, and especially the economics department.
HC: So do you enjoy being a man at an all-female college?
JS: (laughs) Yes! The ratio is great! There are a lot of girls!
