Our 5 Most Anticipated Fall Television Shows

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marywood chapter.

5. American Horror Story: Cult (Tuesdays @ 10 p.m. on FX)

It premiered last week and left all of us with questions. Why are there so many clowns? What does the election have to do with the clowns? And why on earth is Evan Peters’ hair blue? This season of AHS was rumored to be the season that tied the first six together. So far, we have not seen any of that but I think we are all bouncing off the end of our seats to see what will happen next. Ryan Murphy never disappoints and hopefully AHS: Cult will not be the exception.

4. The Final Season of Scandal (Thursdays @ 9 p.m. on ABC)

I do not know about all of you but I am heartbroken that this will be the last season of Scandal. I am excited to see how Shonda will tie it all together though. I must admit that the story lines were getting slow but I am still never going to be ready to part with this show. I am praying that Liv and Fitz end up together! (Hey, a girl can dream right…?)

3. Grey’s Anatomy (Thursdays @ 8 p.m. on ABC)

Shonda, Shonda, Shonda… hoe many times will you rip open my hear during this season of Grey’s. I must say, as an avid Grey’s fan, I am constantly amazed at Shonda’s ability to keep the storyline interesting despite actors leaving. The show is in its 14th season with only four original characters still on the show. When we last saw Meredith, she was saying goodbye to Nathan Riggs as he left to find his long lost fiancé. I never thought I would get over the Meredith/Derek love but I must admit that I was obsessed with her and Riggs together. I am excited to see how this story line plays out.

2. This is US (Tuesdays @ 9 p.m. on NBC)

I have to admit that I have only watched a couple episodes of this show but everyone seems to be obsessed with it. The show follows three siblings on the journey of their lives and all of the twists and turns life gives us. Nominated for multiple awards, this is definitely a show to keep your eyes on!

1. Riverdale (Wednesdays @ 8 p.m. on the CW)

The teen drama that took the television world by storm. After the first season was added to Netflix, it seems that everyone was hooked on the show. The first season left viewers with so many questions. Who shot Archie’s dad? How will Jughead like school on the South Side? Will Betty and Jughead last? What about Veronica and Archie? What is going to happen to Cheryl? and the lingering question… will Veronica’s father make an appearance in season 2? With all of these questions in the back of everyone’s heads, it is easy to see why Riverdale earned our spot as the number 1 post anticipated television show for this fall.
