Her Campus (HC): “Hi Liz,What are you involved in on campus?”

Liz Weyman (LW): “President of the history club/ society, Orientation, Volunteers In Action, Campus Ministry events volunteer.”

HC: “What does history club do for those who don’t know about it?”

LW: “We do a lot of things. We’re a non major specific club so anyone can join, we have bi weekly meetings on Wednesday at 3 in LAC 216, last year we ran monthly trivia nights, this year we are running a seminar on chicago style citing, ad we are planning on doing a club trip to a fun location.”

HC: “What do you want to do with your degree after college?”

LW: “I want to work in museums, I’m gonna have to go back to grad school at some point to get my masters but i want to get into the field  right away to get experience.”

HC: “Since you were an orientation leader for 3 years and orientation applications are out, what would you say to those who are thinking about applying?”

LW: “I think the most important thing is to be yourself,  especially if you are selected and you work with the new freshman, being yourself is key because they are all going to be nervous. I think making sure that you love Marywood and you want others to love it as much as you do is one of the best things.  Sharing the pacer pride is important there is nothing quite like it. Make sure that your willing to put yourself out there and make new friends. Making new friends is the biggest thing about orientation.”

HC: “What is one quote you live by?”

LW: ““ if you are going through hell keep going”- Winston Churchill”

HC: “You had an internship last summer at a museum, tell me about that?”

LW: “ I worked at the Long Island Maritime Museum, I worked in the registrar’s office which means I cataloged artifacts, organized archives and accepted donations. I tapped maps back together, and I enjoyed pricing artifacts.”

HC: “Where is your dream vacation?”

 LW: “France.”

HC: “As a senior what are you going to miss most about Marywood?”

LW: “Being so close to all my friends it’s gonna be weird to not have all my friends in the same 2 mile radius. I’m gonna miss the great professors I have met here. Shoutout to Dr. Vari”

HC: “What is the best thing about being a history major?”

LW: “I think the department is really great because it’s not super big you get to know everyone in it closely. We are all a little family. Also the classes offered and flexibility with your major is great because you take classes that interest you.”

HC: “What do you do in your free time?”

LW: “Watch netflix, hang out with my friends and roommates”

HC: “Last question: Dunkin or Starbucks?”

LW:  “Dunkin all the way.”
