Meet Jordan Curnow ’18

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marywood chapter.

Usually spotted flaunting her flawless style, taking pictures of her chihuahuas or browsing Wegmans’ candy aisle for twenty minutes, but only walking out

with sushi, Jordan Curnow is sophomore Nutrition and Dietetics student with a twisted sense of humor and a passion for fashion and sweets.

Name:  Jordan Rose Curnow

Graduation Year: 2018

Major: Nutrition and Dietetics

Hometown: Greenfield, PA

Relationship Status: In a Relationship

Her Campus Marywood (HC): What’s your favorite part about Marywood?

Jordan Curnow (JC): My favorite part about Marywood is that it’s a pretty small school so you can never get too lost, and you usually see a familiar face no matter where you are on campus.

HC: What would you change about Marywood?

JC: Marywood never really cancels classes when there’s bad weather. I commute, so sometimes that makes things difficult. So, I guess I’d like administration to be more considerate of the students that commute to campus.

HC: Where do you work?

JC: I work at Yankee Candle, which works out perfectly because I have a small obsession with candles and I get a really good discount!

HC: What’s your dream job?

JC: Aside from being a Sports Illustrated model? Kidding, but not really. I actually have always dreamed of working in the fashion world and being a buyer for a high-end brand.

HC: What’s the best part about your major?

JC: The best part would be learning about what is best for your body and seeing how much the food you intake affects your health. I’ve always been interested in health and fitness, so I find it really fascinating.

HC: What are you currently watching on Netflix?

JC: I’m currently re-watching Friday Night Lights and drooling over Tim Riggins.

HC: What do you like to do in your spare time?

JC: I like to spend time with my family, boyfriend, chihuahuas and friends, go to the gym, shop and bake – even though I always burn whatever I make.

HC: If you could be any Disney Princess, who would you be?

JC: Cinderella! She comes from nothing and ends up being a princess who marries her true love. That just makes me happy.

HC: Picture yourself 5 years from now. Where do you see yourself?

JC: I see myself having a successful career, traveling the world and having some bling from Tiffany’s on my left hand.

HC: Tell me something not many people know about you?

JC: Most people don’t know that I am petrified of cats. One time, I literally would not get out of my car for twenty minutes at my house because a stray cat was sitting on my porch.

HC: Do you consider yourself more of an Ashley Olsen or a Mary-Kate Olsen?

JC: Definitely Ashley Olsen! I feel that Mary-Kate is more of a tomboy, and I’m more of a girly-girl like Ashley.

HC: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

JC: I think I’d have to pick Greece. It just looks so beautiful there and I would love to see it.

HC: If your dogs could describe you in three words, what would they say?

JC: They would say I’m loving, generous and annoying because I’m always trying to take pictures of them and cuddle with them while they nap.

HC: What’s your favorite food?

JC: There’s a 3-way-tie between steak, garlic bread and cookies.

HC: Favorite store?

JC: Target! I could get lost in there for hours.

HC: Favorite restaurant?

JC: Red Robin! Their Bleu Ribbon burger is my weakness.

HC: Who is your role model?

JC: My mom is my role model. She’s such an independent woman and an amazing mom to me and my siblings.  If I can be half the woman and mother she is, I’d consider myself really lucky.

HC: Whos’s your celebrity crush?

JC: James Lafferty. He’s such a cutie and his character, Nathan, on One Tree Hill makes him 100 times more attractive. He goes from jerk to gentleman for the girl he loves and that’s every girls goal, I think.
