Beauty trends are a revolving door; there are constantly new and sometimes weird makeup phenomenoms coming and going. Temptation kicks in, and of course we have to test out the latest fads for ourselves. Some stick around for awhile, but most exit our makeup bags in the blink of a perfectly mascara-coated eye.

1. Freckle Temporary Tattoos
Admit it: freckle-faces are adorable. If genetics didn’t adorn you with the beloved tiny speckles, you can now easily fake it with no commitment thanks to Freckle Yourself. Temporary freckles can be achieved by applying a stencil and special formula, followed by peeling off the stencil to reveal smudge-proof dots. The “tattoos” last about two days.
2. Glitter Roots
Sparkly danrduff has been spotted in magazines and beauty blogs for the past month. Glitter is sprinkled over your roots to give a whole new meaning to the term “shiny hair.” Some of those who have braved this trend use it as a unique way to cover up their grown-out roots. Others simply love to sparkle.
3. Glitter Armpits
One of the latest feminist campaigns to hit the internet is #glitterpits. Yes, decorating your armpits with glitter is a thing. The campaign was created to promote equality of under-arms and show that bald isn’t the only beautiful (fuzzy is pretty, too!).
4. Sunset Hair
People are turning their strands into a perfectly painted sunset. It doesn’t look easy to pull off, but the results look as pretty as a picture. Shades of gold, red, pink, and purple bleed into each other to create a lush masterpiece inspired by the sky.
