Even though fashion shows are all about who’s on the runway and not who’s sitting in the audience, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t look fab as an attendee! Fashion shows are a perfect excuse to step a little outside of your style comfort zone and feel like you’re a classy guest at New York Fashion Week.

Marymount’s annual fashion show, Voyage to Utopia, has proved to be a fab-tastic hit in the past and is definitely worth attending! On February 21st at 8pm, your MU friends will strut their stuff and show off some crazy cool pieces. If you’re planning on going, I recommend that you take advantage of the event by dressing as fashionable as possible! Below are some suggestions of outfits to wear that are super simple and super chic!

1. For a WOW Factor

What better way to make a statement than with some sequined pants and a bold top? To up your “wow” factor even more, go with some gold accessories and fun heels!

2. For an EDGY Factor

Since the show is during the winter, chances are it’s going to be cold. To add some warmth and edge to a basic black dress, throw on a moto jacket and don’t forget to amp up your look with studs and spikes to the max and a colored heel.

3. For a FLOWEY/FEMININE Factor

As I’ve stated in past articles, maxi skirts are super cute in the colder months. A basic long sleeve top tucked into a dressier-style maxi skirt, finished off with a bedazzled statement necklace is most definitely a winner.

4. For a COMFY Factor

If you know me, then you know that I hate pants, like A LOT. Leggings, however, are totes my jam and I wear them pretty much daily. This look is perfect for the girl who wants to look put together, but still be comfortable. The leather leggings are a step up from the basic legging and add a bit of edge.

5. For a CASUAL Factor

Even though fashion shows are the perfect time to go all out, you may still want to stick to a more casual ensemble. A chambray shirt or denim jacket thrown over a dress is the perfect way to dress down a dressed-up look. The juxtaposition is oh-so chic and effortless. (TBH, I just really wanted to use the word “juxtaposition.”)

When/What Time? February 21st @ 8pm. Hope to see all y’all stylish ladies there!
