Valentine’s Day Outfits for Any Occasion

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marymount chapter.

Regardless of whether you love Valentine’s Day or not (single or not) – you have to have some type of plans. Here are four outfits for every occasion for Friday’s festivities:

The Classy Date

Your significant other told you to get dressed up, yet you have no idea where you’re going. Put this outfit on and you’ll be sure to make his heart skip a beat!

A bold red dress and black pumps are simple, yet classic. Pull your black clutch off the shelf to throw your cellphone, lipstick and other small necessities (like your I.D., duh) and you’ll be ready to go. Depending on your mood, throw on a pearl or a statement gold bracelet.

Movie Night

Fancy-shmancy dinners aren’t everyone’s thing. But movies might be. If you still want to dress up a simple outfit, this is the outfit for you. Blazers are a must – and immediately dress up anything. The Longchamp is perfect for sneaking in those favorite snacks.

The Night In

Whether you’re home in bed alone or with your significant other – you NEED to be in this outfit. This nightshirt from J.Crew should be part of every girl’s wardrobe. Camp socks will forever keep your feet warm and cashmere just makes you feel good.

Anti-Valentine’s Day/Night

You and your girlfriends want to storm the scene. Leather is a must to make a huge statement, yet you always need a pop of color – aim for the shoes (shoes are the best for making a scene). Throw on a bib necklace and you’ll have the whole bar looking at you!
