What are some of your hobbies/activities?

Some of my hobbies and activities (when I’m not running around campus) are Tweeting, writing, reading (which is rare during the school year!), listening to music, Netflix (Netflix is the best) hanging out with friends and on the off chance I love going to DC when I can. I’ve also recently started working out and I can tell it is going to become a habit

3 words to describe myself:

Passionate, driven, and genuine

My favorite thing to do at Marymount:

There are so many things! If I had to pick one I love going to the Library Auditorium before rehearsal and jamming out to music. It relaxes me and helps me de-stress after a long day!

What is a typical day in your life like?

A typical day in my life is I get up and depending on the day I’ll go to the gym in the morning then come back and get ready for work/class. Then I go to work and after work I head straight for class. Then I have rehearsal. In between that I usually have one or two meetings with homework thrown in there. I always need to have my music to keep me relaxed!

Qualities that stand out in a significant other:

Honesty is the biggest one. I also like someone who is goal-oriented. Honestly, someone who is going to help me grow as a person and just make me happy. I’m not too picky.

Favorite college memory so far:

Getting to introduce Aaron Carter. I wanted to make that dream a reality since I saw We The Kings here and getting up on that stage and introducing Aaron was the coolest thing I have ever done by far.

What is the biggest obstacle you’ve had to overcome?

The biggest Obstacle I have had to overcome was figuring myself out. Freshman year and some of sophomore year I didn’t stand up for myself or would be okay with not vocalizing myself when I felt something was wrong. I went through a bad break-up but I learned so much about myself through it. I learned what I want and do not want for myself and in a significant other. I also learned to stand up for myself. Just looking back at the past year I can see how much I’ve changed as a person. I still have a lot to improve upon, but I’m not going to stop striving to be the best person I can be.

What is your favorite part about being a leader on campus?

My favorite part about being a leader on campus is getting to meet new people and bring the Marymount community together. I’m an outgoing person so I like to meet new people and see others grow. That was one of my favorite things about being a Peer Mentor last semester: seeing my mentees grow throughout the semester!

Why did you choose to attend Marymount?

I chose to attend Marymount because I loved the atmosphere. The first time I came to visit I remember everyone was so nice. I came also for the academic opportunities Marymount has to offer, so the nice people and environment has been a plus!

What is your favorite thing about Marymount?

My favorite thing about Marymount have been the opportunities given to me and all the people I have met. I’ve made some life long friends here.

What do you see yourself doing in 5 years?

In 5 years where do I see myself? I actually have no idea. Well, kind of… I plan to be in graduate school, hopefully almost finished getting my Psy.D and interning at a local hospital as a psychologists helping patients or patients’ families who are dealing with an illness or injury.

What have you been able to take away from your years so far at Marymount?

I have learned so much academically and personally and just about life in general that I will take away from Marymount. I have grown through the years here as a leader and as a person and I will take these lessons and memories with me!

What is your dream job and how do you think you’ll get there?

My dream job (currently) literally changed this week haha. So as of right now I see myself working in a hospital as a clinical psychologist helping patients who are sick, are about to have surgery or the families of patients who are going through this with them. I’ve even looked at possibly working with children who have developmental disorders, anxiety, depression in a hospital setting. I plan to get there by going to graduate school and getting my Psy.D in Clinical Psychology and getting a good internship maybe with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia or just an overall great hospital!

What is your motto to live by/favorite quote?

My motto to live by/favorite quote: well I have two: one is actually “Smile Kid and Just Keep Breathing”. But my favorite quote is from One Tree Hill: “Life kicks you around sometimes. It scares you and beats you up. But there’s one day when you realize you’re not just a survivor. You’re a fighter. You’re tougher than anything life throws your way.”
