Valentine’s Day is a holiday that you either love or hate, yet it isn’t all about romantic love, candy hearts and pink balloons. It is a day of reflection, to calm down from all the stresses of life and just enjoy loved ones. I know, I know, you should do that more often than just one day, yet Valentine’s Day is a day that’s dedicated to it. So when you’re spending time with the ones you cherish, whether its friends, family or your significant other, here are some song ideas to get you in the spirit- no matter what your view on Valentine’s Day is.

1. “Kiss me”- Ed Sheeran

  • Ed Sheeran is one of those singers that just make you want to fall in love. This song isn’t any different. If you don’t have a Valentine, make Ed part of your playlist and just fall in love with his voice

2. “Check Yes or No”- George Strait

  • Both of these are gems. They’re hilarious and they each show us the true meaning of love including “morning breath” and how you can hate and love someone at the same time. No fluff, all truth.

  • Sometimes…. love sucks. Good Charlotte’s power-rock anthem just makes you want to dance and scream out all of your frustrations. Rock on.
