The crisp bite in the air has subsided, blossoms have began to bud, and Forever21 has released a new line. This can only mean one thing– spring has sprung! With the milder weather and brighter dispositions come a much needed wardrobe face-lift.

Cropped to Casual

This spring, tuck those blue jeans in the back of your closet and grab some color! American Apparel, The Gap and more of our favorites are raving about colored denim for this season. Cropped and colored pants optimize the playful spirit of the season and take an everyday look from December’s blah to ooh la la!

To take this trend to the next level, scratch the jeans all together and opt for some high-waisted pleated trousers instead. The high-waist draws the attention vertically for an instant slimming factor, and belting it around your waist adds a slender bonus.

Don’t be intimidated by the polished look—high-waisted trousers can be worn casually just as easily as dressed up. Rock some colored ones with a cami and patterned cardi for an outfit to wear to class.

Florals
And what would a spring wardrobe be without pretty florals? Steve Madden and Nine West sprouted blooming trendsetters this season with their charming floral wedges. Wear them to class (with your new colored jeans perhaps?) for a sweet daytime look or on a cool date night.

Sweet and Saucy
Rory Beca for Forever21 hits a high note on this trend with her new spring line. The collection features flowy and feminine babydoll tops and dresses with a sexy hem and necklines for a killer combination.

Asymetrical maxi dresses also achieve this look by combining the sweetness of feminie fabrics with the sassyness of plunging necklines and decieving hemlines.

As we all know, accessories are little items that can give an outfit a new take on life. This season, let cat-eye sunglasses be your sultry staple. Popularized by trendsetters like Kourtney K., cat-eye sunglasses add a mild va va voom to any look.

The sharp angles in the frames accentuate the cheekbone for a “Yes, I am an international supermodel” look. Urban Outfitter and ASOS have stocked up on some really cute pairs so grab one!
