Photographer for various on-campus publications, fourth grade math tutor for America Reads, America Counts
Â
What makes University of Maryland a great school?
There’s so much to do here and so many different, interesting people. You can meet someone new every day.
Â
You know you’re at Maryland when…
“Everywhere you turn, people are rubbing a turtle’s nose.”
Â
Favorite female physical attribute?
Eyes
Â
Last movie that made you cry?
Mean Girls made me cry laughing. Does that count?
Â
How has your family influenced the person you are today?
I grew up with just my mom and my sister. My immediate and extended family all really look out for me and it has taught me how to care for others. They’ve taught me citizenship and shown me that it’s important to look out for more people than just myself.
Â
Summer or winter?
Definitely winter! And since my birthday is in July, that makes summer even better. I would take swim trunks over sweatpants any day.
Â
Top three fav songs right now?
Moves Like Jagger (Maroon 5), More (Usher) and Countdown (Beyonce). Beyonce is secretly my wife.
Â
Best way to impress a girl?
I try to act all cool but it totally ends up not working. So I just try to be cute and funny instead. It’s also important to be genuine; don’t be fake. And I also smile a lot.
Â
What kind of girl catches your eye?
A girl that laughs a lot and has a really happy personality. I really like girls who are happy with themselves and enjoy life.
Â
What is something people would be surprised to find out about you?
That I’m actually pretty shy, especially at first.
Â
Who do you look up to?
Will Smith. He seems like a solid father figure and as a celebrity figure and he keeps to his moral. You don’t see him in scandals on the front of magazine covers. He also seems like the type of person that would have your back.
Â
Dream job?
I would like to be a portrait photographer for a major magazine like Time, Cosmopolitan, or People. It would be awesome to get paid to take pictures of celebrities or pictures of something that everyone is going to see.
