The Basics
 Year: Freshman
Major: Ecology and Evolution
Relationship Status: Single
Hometown: Gaithersburg, MD

Hobbies/Leisure Activities: Playing video games, climbing, “anything outside, really.”
Interesting Fact: “I can jump really high.” (His unit of measurement? “Multiple trash cans.”)

To all the lovely fish in the sea: Meet Kevin, Mr. (Ec0-) Friendly!

HC: What is your favorite aspect of Maryland so far?
Kevin: “Definitely just the giant campus, the multitude of different people, my dorm, my entire floor – I love it; everyone there is awesome.”

HC: What is one piece of advice that you have for incoming freshmen?
Kevin: “Get to know everyone in your dorm; it’s really great. Make study groups with people. One thing about Cumberland is that it’s all Scholars on my floor (and in the entire building), and they’re all life sciences [majors], so we’re all taking the same classes. It’s really nice to just make some friends.”

HC: What is the first thing that you notice about a girl?
Kevin: “Hair color.”

HC: What is one thing about girls that you just don’t understand?
Kevin: “When they’re too subtle, and they expect you to pick up on everything, it gets frustrating.”

HC: What is your take on make-up?
Kevin: “I know some people that overdo it, and then it looks bad, but a little bit is nice.”

HC: Describe your dream girl.
Kevin: “Brunette, blue eyes, likes reading, willing to be ‘outdoorsy’ and run around…”

HC: One way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. What is your favorite meal?
Kevin: “Pizza. Pineapple pizza. It’s how to go.”

HC: Anything on the side with it?
Kevin: “Garlic bread. Can’t go wrong.”

HC: If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go?
Kevin: “Australia. It just appeals to me – all the different wildlife.”

HC: Do you have a “guilty pleasure” song that you are willing to disclose?
Kevin: “My current favorite song is ‘Jukebox Hero,’ but I don’t think that’s really a guilty pleasure.”

HC: What are your post-graduation plans?
Kevin: “I haven’t really thought about it that much. I like to work with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, so I’m going to try and work with them some.”

HC: What are your post-interview plans?
Kevin: “I’m going to go back and hang out with my friend who came up from UMBC.”
