Back to School Survival Kit Fall 2014

Last week at our staff meeting, our writers were treated to an amazing study break- the Fall 2014 Back-to-School Survival Kit. We would like to thank Nationals for coordinating such a great surprise!

This year’s kit included the perfect array of products to entertain with some of the hottest new innovations, like Clue the perfect cycle tracker app, or a coupon for Tanda Zap, to get rid of those annoying blemishes. Tanda Zap is a pocket-sized zit zapper that combines blue LED light with sonic vibration and gentle warming to destroy acne-causing bacteria on skin and in pores, breaking the cycle of acne to clear pimples fast.

Some girls were lucky to score a buy one get one free card to Chipotle- every collegiette’s ABSOLUTE FAVORITE or a coupon for a free wax to the European Wax Center for first-time clients.  

Our friends at Luna sent us yummy snack-sized Chocolate- Peppermint stick bars to help us make healthy snack decisions (but its so hard to eat just one!) and Garnier gave us skincare samples.  The Blackhead Eliminating Scrub provides a gel exfoliator with micro beads that deeply cleanse, tighten pores, and smooth skin. The formula is infused with Charcoal and Salicylic Acid to draw out blackhead causing dirt, oil and impurities. Then, the Nourishing Cleansing Oil instantly dissolves impurities and long-wear makeup with no greasy residue. The formula is infused with nourishing Jojoba and Macadamia Oil to help replenish the skin’s moisture balance.

The goodies don’t stop there! Nasty Gal sent us special promo buttons that are not sold online. We also received loads of $10 gift cards to Aeropostale- better get to the mall ladies by October 19!  We propose a Her Campus field trip- eh hem, SHOPPING TRIP to catch up on the latest styles!  We hear Aeropostale has some great style steals ( attention $4 mini skirts, we’re not joking.)

And the cutest treasure? Cupcake Panty by Affinita’s gifted us a “bakers dozen” of the novelty of a sweetest pair of underpants packaged in a cupcake for inconspicuous carry. No one will suspect what’s inside!

We at HC UMD think we have the rest of the semester covered thanks to our amazing survival kit.
