It’s award season so get your hearts ready to see your faves win or lose! The Grammy nominees were released Thursday and I’m glad to see an abundance of female artists up for the awards. In fact, there’s only one boy up for record of the year (look out Sam Smith). Though all the nominees haven’t been announced yet, it’s sure to be a nail biting evening! These Grammy girls are killing it and I’d love to see any of them snatch an award:

Iggy Azalea is up for several awards including Record of the Year – Fancy (ft. Charli XCX), and Best New Artist alongside sister girl group Haim and country artist Brandy Clark.

Song of the year is between, not so new Sia (Chandelier), Taylor Swift’s summer smash Shake It Off, and Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass.

It’s not the Grammys without Miley Cyrus and she’s up for Best Pop Vocal Album with Bangerz. Ariana Grande and Katy Perry join her in this category.

Paramore (fronted by Hayley Williams) is up for Best Rock Song with Ain’t It Fun, and St. Vincent is nominated for Best Alternative Music Album with her self-titled album St. Vincent.

There’s many more contenders up for this years Grammys and plenty of female artist worthy of the awards.
