3 Ways to Dress Up Your Skanky Bun for Finals Week!
During finals week, the last thing on our minds is how our hair looks. Most girls throw their hair up in a bun and go on their way. What if I told you that you could dress up your skanky bun in less than 10 minutes?! Here are 3 simple and easy messy buns that will help you get through finals week looking and feeling fantastic!

Step 1: Make your hair a little dirty.
Step 2: Pull together your hair and hold it straight up, kind of like a Lucky Troll Doll.
Step 3: Twist your hair down to a few inches above the crown of your head.
Step 4: Wrap your hair around itself until it forms a loose bun, right on the top of your head.
Step 5: Pin the bun in place with bobby pins. Anywhere from 4-8, depending on thickness of your hair should do the trick. Remember, you want it loose but secure.
Step 6: Finally, pin all the loose strands of hair and make it look like you’ve worn the bun all day!
2. This Messy Bun is the fastest!
Step 1: Tease hair
When you’re doing a messy bun the ultimate goal when aiming for the ‘messy’ look isn’t going to be with perfectly smooth hair. There has to be texture and volume to it! To give your hair the messy sort of look you want, start by teasing it. I have also found that curled or wavy hair looks better for the messy look! If you end up looking like a cave woman, you’re doing it right!
Step 2: Pull your hair into a bun/Wrap it up with a pony
Gather all of your hair and wrap it up with a pony! How high you want the bun if up to you! Loosely wiggle the bun so the hair is a little lose and pull a few tiny strands of hair out of the bun and tease those also! After teasing those strands, take bobby pins and pin the strands back into the bun!
Step 3: Frame your face, ladies!
Pull a few strands out just to frame around your face!
Step 4: HAIRSPRAY!
Hairspray the finished product so everything falls into place and Voila! Perfect Messy Bun!
3. This is the Messy Bun that I do the most!
Step 1: Make sure your hair is all brushed out and smooth.
Step 2: Grab a pony and tie your hair in a low ponytail.
Step 3: Do a simply braid below the pony and tie it with a small clear elastic.
Step 4: Make a small hole right above the pony tail.
Step 5: Take the braid and pull it all the way through the hole that you just made above the pony.
Step 6: Make sure it’s pulled ALL the way through!
Step 7: Take the bottom of the braid and roll it up into itself until it looks like a little ball.
Step 8: Use bobby pins to pin the bun, you can spread out the braid to make it look more full or just leave it as is for that really messy look!
During this finals week, don’t be caught looking like you just rolled out of bed even if you really did! These messy buns will have you looking like you actually took the time to get ready even though it really only took you 10 minutes tops!
