How to Have a Successful “Galentine’s Day”

It’s that time of year again. February 14th. Valentine’s Day. It sneaks up on every single person each year. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with being single (in fact, I love it sometimes!) but I feel like everyone expects me to feel sad on Valentine’s day. With that being said, why should Valentine’s Day only be a happy day for people who aren’t single? It shouldn’t. Here’s a list of things you can do with your girlfriends on “Galentine’s Day;”

Watch a movie: I recently saw “The Greatest Showman” with my roommates and it has easily became my new favorite movie and I highly recommend it. On the other hand… “Fifty Shades Freed” just came out too.

Play a game: Cards Against Humanity, Monopoly, Scrabble. Literally any game will make for a fun night.

Go out to dinner: I literally have no shame in doing this with my group of friends on Valentine’s Day.

Have a spa night: I worship face masks, and you can bet this is what me and my friends are doing this year.

Do something alone: If you want to do something completely by yourself on Valentine’s Day, that’s totally okay! My motto is literally “Take care of yourself first,” because self-love is the most important kind of love.

Any of these things can make for a great day! Enjoy, ladies.
