Feeling Worn Out? Here are some empowering Netflix movies you need to watch

We’ve all hit that winter slump before. The feeling is so noticeable that you just know that it’s gonna be a long week. Last week, after three exams, I felt so tired and worn out that I felt like crying forever and wearing my high school sweatpants for the rest of my life (overreacting – I know). Luckily, Netflix is our best friend. Here are two really inspirational movies I watched last week that can really lift you up this week.

#1- Minimalism by Matt D’Avella

This was an amazing movie. This was a documentary discussing living life in a very simple and non-materialistic way. Different people and influencers share their different lives after making the switch. It was inspiring to see how many people were very happy and satisfied with their simple lives. Will definitely make you say how beautiful the small things can be.

#2- Miss Americana

If you’re really into music and documentaries, then this is the movie for you. This documentary revolves around Taylor Swift’s life as a singer but also about how she has become a huge advocate for women’s rights and social issues. The film is very personal and makes you feel like you’re in the room listening to her talk. I definitely loved this movie because it reminded me how powerful you can be while doing something you really love. Taylor even talks about herer recent achievements in the music industry and how she had to fight for them to get to where they did solely because she was a woman. Moral of the story, I loved this Netflix documentary. Definitely recommend!
