Note: This is a complete list of items for an unfurnished house or apartment. Dorm living will not require all of these items, so make sure you plan accordingly and reach out to your university to see what you need, what is given, and what you cannot have.

Although this list includes many of the necessities, feel free to go nuts and decorate your space however you want with wall art, tons of pillows and blankets, and all the extra furniture you want. Also, the amount/type of clothing and toiletries to bring to college depends on the individual. Bring items that you know you will need, and remember, especially in small spaces, less is more. Let the shopping begin!
