This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

I mean, seriously, you need to watch this show. The Season five premiere of the Starz series is coming very, very soon on February 16th, but there is still time to catch up on netflix (seasons 1-3) and finish up season 4 on Starz. You will only have to purchase a Starz subscription for maybe a few weeks to watch 4 and upcoming 5, you just have to believe! To my already existing Outlander fans out there, I still highly suggest you check out this article to get back in the Outlander spirit! So c’mon! “Je suis prest!”

First off I would just like to say if you love a binge-worthy TV show, fantasy, history, action, and romance, Outlander is the show for you! Still not convinced? Keep scrolling for some reasons why you should hop into the series along with some gifs that may or may not suck you into the captivating world of Outlander!

First reason: Jamie Fraser

Let me just emphasize: Jamie Fraser.

Reason #2: The Steamy romance

Words simply cannot express Outlander’s mastery of romance and ripping the hearts out of all Outlander fans. Dare I say more?

Reason #3: Claire: A true symbol of female empowerment

Claire teaches us we can do anything we set our mind too. Even travel through time.

Reason #4: The Beauty of the Scottish highlands

Have you ever seen highland cattle? Oops I’ve already said too much.

Reason #5: The Plot twists

You did what? Seriously? OMG! No! Yes! Woo hoo! Gasp! These are just a few examples of all the reactions you will have to Outlander’s plot twists

Reason #6: The accents

British, Scottish, French, all accents welcome in this show! Whichever suits your fancy!

Reason #7: Murtagh

The man. The myth. The legend.

Reason #8: The music

I’m a sucker for soundtracks. I don’t know about you but if a show has amazing music to set the tone, I’m even more invested. Prepare yourself for bagpipe tunes getting stuck in your head. So worth it though.

Well, I hope I have inspired you to give Outlander a try so grab your popcorn or a big bowl of porridge, sit back, and enjoy the show! Cheers everyone!
