Ah, Valentine’s Day. People tend to have a pretty polarized opinion of the 14th day of February. Whether you love the holiday or think it’s superfluous, here are a few feelings that may accompany the arrival of Valentine’s Day that I think we can all agree on.

  1. When you realize it’s almost February 14. Let’s be real: the idea of Valentine’s Day is sweet. A day dedicated to show your love and affection for the people you adore? Sign us up! But there’s such a pressure that comes along with Valentine’s Day that it leaves us feeling…well, a little bit like this.

  2. But then you remember that you can spend Valentine’s Day with your friends and have a totally amazing time. Don’t have a date for Valentine’s Day? No worries! Make it a Galentine’s Day to remember by having a ‘Galentine’s Day’ gift swap with your friends! Have everyone bring a dessert, small gift (think a chocolate heart or something like that), get a girl power playlist playing, and watch a cute movie with your pals.

    3. Or, if you want to spend the day chilling solo, that’s perfectly fine too. Let’s be honest. Between ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before,’ to ‘Pretty in Pink,’ Netflix has some pretty solid options for just relaxing and watching TV all Valentine’s Day Long.

    4. Really whatever you want to do on Valentine’s Day, whether that be a date, spending time with friends, or family, or just by yourself, is a great idea. Do whatever will make you happiest!

          5. Because never forget, you’re perfect just how you are. Single or coupled this Valentine’s Day, you’re pretty amazing how you are.
