A Note on My Favorite Pair of Jeans

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

My favorite part of jeans are amazing, and have seen a lot over the years. You know the jeans I’m talking about. They fit you perfectly, make your butt and legs look great, and you’ve had them for years. Plus, you can wear them basically anywhere. My go-to pair came to me during sophomore year of high school, on Black Friday in an Abercrombie & Fitch. They are my most expensive pair of jeans, and I love them. I had been wanting a pair of those jeans so bad, went out on Black Friday just to buy them, and they clearly did not disappoint. The rest of my jeans are mostly American Eagle, which are all still fantastic, but nowhere near as great as these.

This pair of jeans have been through a lot with me. 4 years of school, 2 boyfriends, along with countless exams and Friday night football games. You too have these experiences, and some people can probably even identity which pictures they are wearing the jeans in. That’s how great they are.

Unfortunately, they have a rip. I am not a big ripped jeans person, especially when it’s obvious its by wear & tear. I could cut more holes in them, and make them into ripped jeans, but they would not be the same. They would not be the jeans I could wear anywhere, and it would limit what I could do in them. Running across campus to class in ripped jeans does not sound pleasant.

So, I may have to turn my old favorite of jeans jeans into weekend jeans, the ones you wear when you’re doing laundry and lying on the couch. Not the ones I wear to class and on nights out with my friends. But I wonder which jeans will become my new favorite pair. Perhaps the maroon or light colored jeans? Or that one really comfy pair of American Eagle jeans that I have. Or the jeans I don’t even own yet. The ones that are waiting for me.
