Name: Ray Tetreault

Year: Sophomore

Major: International Business

Minor: Environmental Policy

Hometown: Tolland, Connecticut

HC: What is your favorite holiday?

RT: Christmas and the time around Christmas when everyone is happy.

HC: What’s the most interesting thing about you?

RT: Oh gosh, interesting thing about me. I don’t know. Well, my uncle is the director of Ford’s Theatre in D.C. where Abe Lincoln was assassinated and they hold a lot of presidential galas. For my high school graduation, two of my cousins and I were able to meet the president.  We went to a performance at Ford’s and I actually sat next to Joe Biden. The next day at the capital, security was lower than usual to keep up a good appearance so my uncle took us through these cool underground tunnels and chambers. On Sunday, we went to a reception at the White House and there were a bunch of famous people there like Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family and the entire cast of Nashville, including Hayden Panettiere. When I met President Obama, he wished me luck on my upcoming track meet and Michelle Obama was a bit of a talker. There were Secret Service members everywhere. At one point, I saw a secret service member step away from these big white doors leading into the White House Library. I went into the Presidential Library and went through FDR’s letters from 1929-1945 and picked up George Washington’s sword. It was pretty freaking awesome.

HC: Do you have a favorite superhero? Why?

RT: Ironman or Thor. Thor only because of his hair and Ironman because of how sarcastically awesome Tony Stark is. Wait. Barney Stinson. That is my favorite superhero.

HC: Since your major is international business, if you could live anywhere in the world for a year where would you live and why?

RT: Hmmmm. I would live in a cabin on the shore of New Zealand because New Zealand has everything from snow-capped mountains to white sand beaches.

HC: What do you find most attractive in a girl?

RT: A woman with a sense of humor who is confident in both her body and her personality. She has to be down-to-earth and can’t afraid to take initiaitive in certain aspects of a relationship…also butts are cool, too.

HC: What’s the most bizarre thing you have ever experienced?

RT: I got cussed at by Bill Russell’s wife when I asked to take a photo with him. (For those of us who don’t know who Bill Russell is, he’s a very famous retired NBA player).

HC: Do you like puppies?

RT: Are you kidding me? People tell me my spirit animal is a yellow lab puppy. So the answer is yes, I LOVE puppies.

HC: Where do you see yourself in ten years?

RT: I see myself in Africa starting a business. That’s actually my dream goal. I want to be an entrepreneur in the international market, specifically in water sanitation and providing access to clean water to the unfortunate in Africa. (You all should check out water.org and donate!)

HC: Now finally, are you single?

RT: Yes. Well no, I’m in a committed relationship with my luscious blonde hair.
