11 Stages of Having an Internship Interview

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

1. I need to get this internship. I cannot put “watched Netflix all summer” on my resume.

2. I’m going to nail this. I’ve done such thorough research on this company. I’m borderline ready to be the CEO.

3. This outfit is the perfect cross between “I’m super professional” and “I could definitely look cute after work at happy hour in this dress.”

4. I’m here, I’m ready and I’m so confident.

5. Is it hot in here?

6. Was that handshake strong or wimpy?

7. “Tell me a little bit about yourself.”

8. Why is my voice so high pitched? Where did the confidence go?

9. Oh god, this needs to be over.

10. I’m out of here. I feel like I can breathe again.

11. I think it went well.
