It’s that time of year again! As classes begin and the fall season settles in, Her Campus is excited for another great semester. Although campus life is not completely how it used to be, we’re still happy to be back and plan to operate as usual!

But this year, our main focus is on helping YOU, our amazing readers. We know online/hybrid classes may not be ideal, and we know the social aspect of MC will change under the current circumstances.

In other words, we know this semester will different; it will be a lot to adjust to and to handle. That’s why we’re structuring our content to benefit YOU! Need advice on how to crush your online class? Wondering how to make friends at college during COVID-19? Don’t worry– we got your back.

Think of us as your new go-to friend. We’re here to help you through these unprecedented times by entertaining you with light-hearted articles, informing you on campus news, and giving you advice on how to live through this crazy time.

Our writers have been working so hard these past few weeks to draft engaging articles for you to read, so get excited! I want to say a special thanks to our editorial team and our writers for making Her Campus at Manhattan what it is today, and always giving their utmost dedication to this amazing organization. The editorial board, Senior Editor Katie Doyle, Social Media Editor/Marketing & Publicity Director Jana Clark, Creative Director Madison Doyle, and Events Director Micaela Beatty, along with myself, have been planning for the best semester yet at Her Campus Manhattan.

One of our goals this semester, other than publishing enticing articles, is to foster a strong, inclusive community for all students at MC. At Her Campus Manhattan, we have fun but we also strive to empower and support each other.

With the current pandemic, we understand it may be hard to meet people and partake in the college social life. But luckily, Her Campus Manhattan can be a way for you to make new friends! This semester we are doing our best to plan fun events, even if they are virtual.

We strongly encourage you to join Her Campus Manhattan and welcome you with open arms! Anyone can join, regardless of their writing ability or major. We’d love to have you as part of our team, and we can’t wait to meet you!
