You and your significant other can never agree on a costume?  I’m in the same boat.  But I live on Pinterest in hopes of convincing my boyfriend to do a Halloween costume with me.  Here are some easy costumes you can do while in a relationship.  Many of these clothing articles you already have or will be used frequently for future occasions and costumes.

  1. Bugs Bunny and Lola.  You both would get the Bugs and Lola jerseys and wear either spandex or basketball shorts for bottoms.  The girl can wear bunny ears and the boy can wear a backwards baseball hat.
  2. Sandy and John from Grease.  This one is really easy and you may not have to spend any money.  The girl would curl her hair, wear red lipstick, black or red high heels, tight black pants and a tight bodysuit.  The guy just has to wear a white tee, black pants, and maybe slick back his hair.  Leather jackets are a good touch to this!
  3. Firefighter and dalmatian.  This one could go either way with who wants to be what.  Firefighter would get the hat of course.  If the firefighter was the girl, she would wear a tight bodysuit and red boots.  If the man was the dalmatian, he could wear a white tee shirt and draw black spots on it.  If the girl was the dalmation, she could wear a spotted shirt with little dalmatian ears.  The man could wear suspenders, the fireman jacket, and the hat!
  4. Football player and cheerleader.  This one is pretty easy and inexpensive too.  The football player would wear a jersey with black face paint for the war paint.  The girl would have to get a little cheerleading outfit with pom poms.
  5. Deer and hunter.  The man would be the hunter and wear a camouflage outfit.  The girl would wear a little brown dress or a brown set (pants and top), with little freckles and deer ears.
  6. Sharkboy and Lavagirl.  The man would wear a shark shirt and could spike their hair.  The girl could dye their hair pink or wear a pink wig, and wear a pink bodysuit with pink leggings.
  7. A dentist and the tooth fairy.  One person in the relationship would be the dentist and wear scrubs, while the woman would be the tooth fairy and wear a little white outfit with a tooth wand and sparkles!
  8. A cow girl and a cow.  The girl could wear cow print with a cowgirl hat, while the boy could wear a cow onesie.
  9. A cop and robber.  I’ve seen most of these happen with the girl as the cop in a black bodysuit, fishnets and handcuffs, while the boy is dressed in an orange jumpsuit or orange pants with a white tank top.
  10. Lilo and Stitch.  This is another outfit with a onesie.  Lilo would wear an oversized orange shirt with the white leaf pattern on it.  Stitch would wear the onesie.
  11. IT and Georgie.  The girl could be a really creepy, but sexy, clown with the scary IT makeup and a white bodysuit.  The boy would wear a yellow rain jacket or sweatshirt to represent Georgie.
  12. Tinkerbell and Captain Hook or Peter Pan.  We have all seen the classic Tinkerbell costume, but now, add your significant other to the mix.  They can wear a Peter Pan all green costume or a Captain Hook costume: white button down shirt, brown pants, and a hook for a hand.
  13. Mermaid and sailor.  The girl would dress up as a mermaid, with the bikini top, the green tail skirt, and the mermaid make up.  The boy could go as plain or extravagant as they want.  A plain option would be getting a sailor hat and a pipe.  This way the boy could wear regular clothes but still dress up with their girlfriend.
  14. Cookie Monster and a cookie.  This one isn’t done very often, but both parties or the relationship could be comfortable.  The boy can wear a cookie monster onesie.  The girl could wear brown comfy pajama pants with brown spots on it to represent a cookie.
  15. Hugh Heffner and a Playboy Bunny.  This is another easy one.  The girl can wear anything black as clothes, like a black bodysuit and fishnet stockings.  The boy could wear the Playboy red jacket and whatever clothes underneath.  This is a fairly simple costume.

Manhattan '24

Hi I'm Emily! I am in my Senior Year at Manhattan College, graduating in Spring 2024. I am studying Childhood Special Education with an upward extension to middle school with a double major in English. My goal in life is to teach elementary school and later on, teach middle school. Although I don't have a position in my Her Campus chapter, I am still an active writer for Her Campus!

I write about all different topics for Her Campus, anything that interests me or that I believe other girls will find useful and informational. I am a team captain on the Manhattan College cheerleading team, so I may write about that sometimes. I also love sorority rush season so I have written about my sorority a few times.

I believe that Her Campus is an amazing source for women to put their work out there and influence other girls. I love being a part of this organization and being able to write about whatever I love. This is the best outlet for me to learn more about my writing style, experiment with different topics that I would not be allowed to write about in a class, and grow as a writer.
