As October begins and we get closer to Halloween, you may be craving some spooky fall festivities to get you into the Halloween spirit. New York City is known for its many bars and restaurants with unique atmospheres and menus, but due to the endless list of places to try, it might be difficult to narrow down your options. That being said, I have made it a bit easier for you by providing you with some of the coolest spooky-themed restaurants in NYC that you must try in October!

Beetle House

Open on Thursdays to Sundays from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Beetle House is a Tim Burton-themed restaurant located in the East Village. Its whimsical, yet gothic atmosphere is sure to put you in the Halloween spirit this spooky season.

The Cauldron

Double, double toil, and trouble! This wizard-themed bar offers a magical dining experience for all witches or warlocks who choose to attend. Not only is their cocktail menu filled with a variety of creative and aesthetically appealing drinks, but they offer a “potion-making” class as well. This class is an immersive and wizard-themed mixology class for ages 21 and up. However, the Cauldron offers all-ages friendly afternoon tea as well!

The Slaughtered Lamb Pub

Located in Greenwich Village, this bar is an absolute must to visit this spooky season. Ranging from simple decorations like carved pumpkins throughout the restaurant to more intricate ones such as skeletons on the walls and cobwebs covering the bar.

Loreley’s Haunted Beer Garden

While not a year-round-themed experience, Loreley’s Beer Garden goes all out for Halloween festivities. Their seasonally decorated atmosphere is perfect for the upcoming holiday not to mention their variety of themed cocktails and food!

What better way to celebrate Halloween than eating and drinking off of some spooky menus? I hope that at least one of these restaurants on the list piques your interest, so that you may have the best time celebrating the month of October with your friends and family.
